Helpdesk Engineer

Location: UK based

Type: Full time

The Microdec Helpdesk is the first point of contact for our customers providing technical support. As a Helpdesk Enginneer, you will be expected to become an expert in the Profile product and take responsibility for managing individual calls to SLA and targets with key focus on delivering and maintaining the highest quality of support service in line with the Helpdesk operating procedures.


As the first point of contact for our clients for any technical queries or requests relating to services provided by Microdec, you will be a client service champion and able to proactively manage your own daily workload. The ideal candidate has experience of investigating and solving technical problems and possesses excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly on technical matters with people who are technical and non-technical.

The helpdesk operates a shift rota, with early, late and night shifts, so a flexible approach to working hours is required to ensure the company's goals and targets are achieved.

Financial Controller

Location: Brentwood, Essex

Type: Full time

The Financial Controller will take responsibility for the strategic and operational financial management of the company, ensuring corporate sustainability and compliance with all legal and statutory requirements in line with the company’s strategy and growth ambitions.


Additionally, this role covers many of the administration functions of the company, for example, facilities management, insurance, internal processing systems.

  • Supporting, advising and reporting to the COO on all aspects of financial management of the group.
  • Strategic direction, financial leadership, reporting and developing the business relationship with other group entities
  • Review, design and implementation of improved departmental KPI reporting
  • Production of statutory and management accounts, consolidation to group level and in line with accounting standards and the financial reporting timetable
  • Production of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and variance reports
  • Managing the corporate tax position
  • Facilities management
  • Managing the finance, administration and internal process system teams

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA,) and experience working in a small to medium sized business with a proven track record in leading and managing a corporate finance function.
